U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management Supports Project Learn
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County recently received a $10,000 donation from U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in support of the Club's
Project Learn program.
Project Learn reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school during the hours they spend at the Club. High-yield learning activities include leisure reading, writing activities, discussions with knowledgeable and caring staff and volunteers, homework help and tutoring games like Scrabble ®.
Project Learn also emphasizes parent involvement and collaboration between Club and school professionals as critical factors in creating the best after-school learning environment for Club members ages 6-18.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County, a United Way and Children's Services Advisory Committee agency, is a youth development organization that serves over 2,000 young people annually with quality programs that develop citizenship, leadership and character. They serve kids ages 6-18 every day after school and all day during the summer at three Clubhouse locations in Indian River County, one in Sebastian and two in Vero Beach. Plans also call for expanding into Fellsmere next year. The
top priority of the Boys & Girls Clubs is helping kids succeed in school and in life.
