The Mental Health Association in Indian River County (MHA) recently moved to new offices conveniently located at 820 37
th Place, Vero Beach. This space is designed to serve MHA clients with offices for six therapists, the Mental Health Walk-In Center, and three classrooms for support group meetings. In addition, the MHA's Advocacy Group offices are located in this new building.
Founded in 1958, the MHA builds awareness, knowledge and advocacy of mental health issues in the community by working collaboratively with mental health consumers, advocates, and service providers to assure fair and effective treatment for those coping with mental and emotional issues. The MHA fills gaps in community mental health services and initiates the development of public education, information and referral, as well as support groups and rehabilitation service to those confronting mental health problems and their loved ones.
The MHA's licensed, experienced therapists provide individual and family counseling and offer specific programs to address issues of substance abuse, anger management, domestic violence, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. In addition, immediate professional counseling for mental or emotional crisis is available to children, families, and individuals through the Mental Health Walk-In Center.

th Place and can be reached from 37
th Street in Vero Beach by turning onto 10
th Court across from the Indian River Medical Center and taking the first right behind the Perkins Pharmacy.
