The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County (HSVB&IRC)will be hosting its Cause for Paws charity event on Saturday March 29 th at the Vero Beach Museum of Art from 6-8 p.m. Celebrating its twenty-fourth anniversary, proceeds raised at the fundraiser will go towards helping the more than 7,000 animals cared for by HSVB&IRC each year. Cause for Paws will provide attendees with a unique selection of silent auction items featuring trips, fine art, jewelry and antiques amid an atmosphere of complimentary wine, open bar and bountiful hors d'oeuvres. This year's event will also include a raffle drawing for an elegant diamond and emerald necklace.
On Monday, March 24th, Orchid Island Beach Club will be the gala scene for the
Preview Party enjoyed by Humane Society Grand Patrons, Benefactors and Major Benefactors on Monday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This year's Preview Party will feature many lovely silent auction treasures available for bidding and immediate purchase as well as two live auction items. This, the more formal part of the two-evening Cause for Paws extravaganza, is graciously being hosted by Sally Anderson, JoAnn Becker, Ann Kusch, Ellie McCabe, Jean Shropshire, and Virginia Schwerin.
Tickets for attending the March 29 th Cause for Paws event begin at $125 per person; tickets to attend both the Preview Party and Cause for Paws being at $250 per person. Proceeds from both events help to provide the necessary care and shelter for our county's 7,000 lost, homeless, neglected and abused animals, which will arrive at the Shelter this year.
