The team from Treasure Coast Community Health exceeds all goals at the North County Relay for Life
Participants of the North County Relay for Life held on April 25 th and 26 th at Sebastian River High School discovered that the Treasure Coast Community Health (TCCH) fifteen-person team from Fellsmere meant business when they transformed their tent into a Speakeasy, straight from the 1920's. In the spirit of "Fighting Cancer through the Decades," the TCCH team dressed in "Roaring 20's" garb as flappers, gangsters and women in Zoot suits. They ran their gambling casino complete with roulette wheel from their tent and a creatively designed black Model-T transported them around the relay route.
Team Captain was Michelle Wells and Erika Ramos was the Team Co-Captain. "TCCH's goal was to make $2,500 for Relay for Life, and when all was said and done, we easily accomplished that and more," explained Wells. "We did a great job selling home-made Mexican delights including tamales, 3-milk cake, flan, rice water and corn on the cob."
