Dear Neighbors,
In 1975 concerned parents, family, and friends of individuals with developmental disabilities founded ARC of Indian River County. This grassroots movement was spawned out of the necessity to provide supports and services to those in the community who had a desperate need and limited resources. These efforts have helped to improve hundreds of lives over the last 33 years.
We are once again at a crossroad due to drastic reductions in State funding, increasing cost, and an economic downturn. We desperately need your financial support to help us to continue to provide our most vulnerable and precious citizens the quality of life they so desperately deserve.
The current economic condition is difficult for all of us.....rising cost of gas, food, insurance, utilities. Consider the developmentally disadvantaged....born with the odds stacked against them and now asked to bear a disproportionate share of the economic burden.
We are pleading to your sense of human compassion and ask that you help us in this struggle with a tax-deductible financial commitment. Consider a small personal sacrifice for a price of a dinner, a night on the town, a movie, to benefit a fellow citizen, a human soul.
