TreasureCoast Wine Festival and Costa D'Estes Beach Resort
Become Partners
World-wide Chefs and Vintners will travel to Vero Beach for the weekend of January 22-25, 2009 to participate in the Treasure Coast Wine Festival, an event whose mission is to raise money to support health care, social services and education programs in Indian River County.
Home to the nearly forty expected Festival VIP guests will be the newly opened and world renowned Costa d'Este owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The Festival kicks off a weekend swirl of events at the Costa d'Este Welcome Reception on Thursday, January 22. Festival Chefs and Vintners will be welcomed to Vero Beach and to the excitement of the Treasure Coast Wine Festival by board members, organizers and special guests in the hotel's elegant "Crystal Room".
"Costa d'Este is proud and honored to have been chosen as the hotel partner for the Wine Festival this year," boasts Catering Manager Alba Vasquez. "We are advocates of helping the community, so this participation parallels our mission. Also, this is a great opportunity for our wonderful Executive Chef David Rodriguez to shine. Chef Rodriguez draws his inspirations from Spanish, Latin and Creole traditions and influences. He was trained by acclaimed chefs like Charlie Palmer, Julia Child, Daniel Boulud and others."
Festival patrons may choose to dine at one of Vero Beach's finest barrier-island homes or select one of three distinguished restaurants on Friday evening, January 23. Each Private Home Dinner pairs a select winery with a renowned chef to create an exceptional culinary experience. Likewise, the Restaurant Dinner showcases local chefs' talents with a superior vintner pairing. One of the restaurant dinners will be held at the Costa d'Este's "Oriente" where Chef Rodriquez will create a mouthwatering Nuevo Latino cuisine.
The Black Tie Dinner & Auction will be held under the Grand Tent on the grounds of Riverside Park on Saturday, January 24 with cocktails, one-of-a-kind live and silent auctions and a sumptuous four-course meal, accompanied by fabulous wines. The weekend concludes on Sunday, January 25 with the Grand Wine Tasting under the Grand Tent where Wine aficionados and novices enjoy an afternoon sampling wine, observing demonstrations, attending a seminar or cheering on their favorite chef in the Mini-Iron Chef Competition!
Those wishing to attend the Wine Festival are encouraged to book their hotel reservations at Costa D'Este at 772-410-0104. Tickets for the Festival will go on sale in the fall. More information may be obtained by visiting
