The Vero Beach Kiwanis Club will be teaming up with local student volunteers and partnering with the Club at Vero Senior Living Apartments to host an Italian Fair and Vendor Show Fundraiser on October 24 from 11 am to 3 pm. The event will be held at the Club at Vero, 6885 20th Street, Vero Beach.

Students from the Sebastian River High School International Baccalaureate Program, members of the Boys and Girls Club of Indian River County, and Vero Beach High School Key Club students have volunteered to serve and assist with the Italian Fair. Alfred Bonani, aka 'Chef Al,' a resident of the Club at Vero, will be stepping out of retirement to prepare a homemade Italian meal to include, pasta, salad and beverage. TGI Friday's restaurant, which hosts the Kiwanis weekly meetings at noon on Thursdays, has donated their special garlic rolls for the dinner.

Approximately 40 vendors, from acupuncturists to Avon representatives, have signed on to display their wares throughout the Club at Vero during the event. Helping Hands massage will be demonstrating massages. Three Sister's Gourmet will be displaying snacks and recipes. Debbie DeBie of The Space Arranger will have a gypsy themed booth featuring information on the magic the company can manifest in business and personal space. Seven jewelry vendors will offer designs suitable for every taste and price range.

The event will also include 50/50 raffles and balloons for the children. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit local children's programs, including Youth Guidance, The March of Dimes, The Kiwanis and Boys and Girls Club Growing Healthy Kids Garden Event, the SRHS IB Program, and Kiwanis scholarships for local students.
