Followup to 'Picnic at the Beach'
Contributed by: Josephine Pecere on 6/27/2008

A good time was had by all that attended. The weather was perfect and the clouds and rain did not roll in until we were ready to pack up at 3 pm. As usual, we all overate. As if the sausages, hot dogs and hamburgers weren't enough, the most delicious watermelon was served. It was almost a beautiful ending to our Post meetings. The best was yet to come............ Wednesday, the 24th of June, was actually the last meeting of the year. Since it was a social, we decided to use the leftover goodies for our dinner. Roland Vicedomi made a great chili, using the hamburgers. I made baked ziti, substituting sausage for meatballs. Ginger Videri made a wonderful salad. And others supplied ice cream for dessert. We are looking forward to next year.

Perhaps the posters we have placed around town will enable us to get new members. Being Italian is not a prerequisite. Being a veteran is what the Post requires, but the Auxiliary women just have to be related to a veteran. Please join us.
