Were you in Stuart on Friday or Saturday June 13th and 14th?
Well if you were you could not help but see the hundreds of motorcycles that came into the area for the First annual Treasure Coast Bike Fest. The Bike Fest was to benefit the ARC or Advocates for the Rights of the Challenged in Marin County (
http://www.arcmc.org/
). This ride was actually what we have called for the Challenge Ride. This year was the first time we extended more then 1 day, and next year we are looking at three days of activities to benefit ARC.
As the bikes rode into Flagler Park down under the Roosevelt Bridge they were treated to lots of booths filled with different vendors and crafts. The headline was on the stage as SWS helped bring the crowd together on Friday then was followed by the 'in your face' country rock of Woodard Johnson. On Saturday SWS kept things alive with the Nouveaux Honkies and their blues rock followed by the classic rock of the Bayou Boys.
The excitement wasn't only centered in Flagler Park as lots of riders took part in any of four Poker Runs that were set up in the area at $10 a hand.
If you missed it this year there is always ways to donate ARC of Martin County, or show you support by supporting a vendor in the area .
