What an honor for one of our own!

One of our own, Teddy Hulse of Sebastian and the GFWC Sebastian Woman's Club, was recently elected President Elect at the State level of GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Clubs for 2010-2011. As a member of the GFWC, General Federation of Women's Clubs, she is very active at the national level, state level, and especially the local level with the GFWC Sebastian Woman's Club, GFWC Junior Woman's Club, and GFWC Sebastian River Juniorettes. Teddy is also very involved at the District level.

She has held nearly every possible office at the local level.Teddy does so many things with and for her community and does it with love in the spirit of giving and seldom if ever for recognition! If she were recognized for each thing she does for her community, state, and yes nation, she would be in the news at least three days a week, 52 weeks a year. To mention all of the offices, and titles she has held would take a couple of pages but to mention a a few: SWC President, Parliamentarian, Public Affairs Chairman, SWJC President. District 10 Junior Director, FFWC First Vice President, GFWC Public Affairs Chairman to name a few!

Teddy was instrumental in organizing the GFWC Sebastian Junior Woman's Club and in 1994 helped organize the GFWC Sebastian Woman's Club and become Federated.

Throughout each year, Teddy wears many hats. When she is not attending numerous meetings and events she is a driving force behind the floats that the SWC and SWJC enter each Sebastian July 4th parade, annual Christmas parades, and the two clubs under her direction have a band that marches in the Sebastian parades and the Fellsmere Day parade each year. The SWJC with Teddy at the helm also build their own Haunted House each Halloween which they open to the public as a fund raiser to help raise money for their local charities. Her most recent endeavor was to help get the Sebastian Annual Clambake back on the calender this coming November 7th, 8th, and 9th.
Teddy along with members and their spouses or special others have remodeled the club house and what a wonderful difference.

To put it in a nut shell, Teddy loves what she does and does what she loves and it is obvious to all who know her. We, the GFWC Sebastian Woman's Club, shine each year thanks to Teddy. All three clubs in the county ( Treasure Coast, Sebastian, and Vero Beach Women's Clubs),our District 10, and the state will be richer for having her as the GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Clubs State President 2010 and 2011.
