Halloween Parade in Downtown Vero BeachThe parade is being held Saturday, October 31
st, 2009. The line-up begins at 9:30a.m.and the parade
starting at 10:00a.m. It will travel down 14
th Avenue to the Vero Beach Community Center where people
can watch the parade. There will be a Costume-Contest at the Freshman Learning Center. Prizes
will be awarded outside the Vero Beach Community Center in the parking lot, just look for the prize
Winner's tent. The contest is for children ages 0-17 and parents are encouraged to get into the
Halloween spirit by dressing up as well. At the end of the parade children with or without a costume can
pick up their free goodie bags located in the parking lot of the Vero Beach Community Center. The City
of Vero Beach Recreation Department is looking for groups who would like to participate: floats,
decorated cars, Walking groups, boy scouts, bands, girl scouts, clubs, sports teams are encouraged to
participate Political Floats or political advertising is not permitted. Go on line or stop by the Vero Beach
Community Center for a parade application. This is a free event for the entire community. For more

In the event of inclement Weather the parade will be cancelled but stop by the Vero Beach
Community Center and pick up a free goodie bag. The COVB Recreation Department wishes
everyone A Happy and Safe Halloween!
This year the GFWC Treasure Coast Women's Club presents Halloween Harvest, they will be
collecting food for the needy at the Halloween Parade at 9:30a.m.at the Freshman Learning
Center before the parade and at 10:00a.m. at the Vero Beach Community Center where the
parade ends. The non-perishable food items will be donated to local charities in the Vero Beach
