5K Jungle Jog Raises $3K for Local Service Clubs

Nearly two hundred runners in the 18th Annual Jungle Club 5K Run held on October 3 rd raised over $3,000 for community service programs of the Vero Beach Rotary Sunrise and the sight conservation program for Vero Beach Lions Club. Over 60 volunteers worked together to make this year's event a success. Since the jog's inception,well over 3,000 runners have competed in this event and nearly $70,000 has been raised for local charities.

The top male winner was Mark Swart of Jensen Beach, covering the 3.1 mile loop in 18 minutes, 14 seconds. Brandi Walker of Port St. Lucie won the women's division, coming in with a time of 19 minutes, 46 seconds.
