Will Be Presented on September 25
Sun Up Center for the Developmentally Disabled continues its series of workshops created for parents of children of all ages that have Developmental Disabilities which may include Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, or Intellectual Disabilities. The workshops are free and have been designed to help parents make the right decisions concerning their child's future.
The series is held the last Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. through November 27 at the Sun Up Center located on 5
th Street S.W. between 20
th Avenue and 27
th Avenue in Vero Beach. All workshops are free, but reservations are requested. Refreshment will be available.
The next workshop, entitled "The need for the availability and advantages of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy
" will be held on Tuesday, September 25. Speakers include Homer Zambigadis an Occupational Therapist and Linda Mitchell a Physical Therapist from Advanced Motion Therapy, Mary Grace Hektner, the lead speech and language therapist for Indian River County & Sandy Hamrick Director of The Montessori School discusses the advantages of the Montessori system of education and how the program benefits developmentally disabled children.
Sun Up offers a variety of educational, social and recreational opportunities for their clients. Developmental Disabilities include Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Intellectual Disabilities.
