"Social Integration and Development"
will be the Next to Last Workshop This Season for
Sun Up Center
Sun Up Center for the Developmentally Disabled launched a series of workshops last spring created for parents of children of all ages that have Developmental Disabilities which may include Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, or Intellectual Disabilities. The workshops have been offered free and have been designed to help parents make the right decisions concerning their child's future.
The series are held the last Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. through November 27. All sessions are held at the Sun Up Center located on 5
th Street S.W. between 20
th Avenue and 27
th Avenue in Vero Beach. All workshops are free, but reservations are requested. Refreshment will be available.
The next to last workshop, entitled "Social Integration and Development
"
will be held on Tuesday, October 30. Speakers include Jim Wood & Kathleen Hillcoat of Special Olympics, from Florida Atlantic University Evelyn Falconer, Asperger
Specialist, Diane Dees and John Krajewski.
Sun Up offers a variety of educational, social and recreational opportunities for their clients. Developmental Disabilities include Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Intellectual Disabilities.
