Sebastian Team Depot Wins Award for SRA Project

Home Depot awarded Senior Resource Association (SRA) with a $4,000 check as a result of a beautification project at the SRA Adult Day Care Center in Sebastian.
Team Depot volunteers spent the day refurbishing an outdoor area into an attractive setting to be enjoyed by those in the program. Team Depot is committed to building better communities through associate lead volunteer programs and projects. Team Depot Captain, Dorothy Nelson entered the project into a National competition sponsored by Home Depot. Out of the 130 projects that were submitted, only 24 were chosen for awards. The winning projects received $4,000 benefitting the organizations they helped. Part of the funds will provide much needed repairs to the well that provides water for the landscaping.
The SRA's Adult Day Care program is open to adults who have physical and/or cognitive limitations, or who need professionally supervised socialization. Equally important, the program provides respite to caregivers seeking to keep a loved one at home for as long as practical. Adult Day Care is offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at locations in both Vero Beach and Sebastian.
