Volunteers Help Reduce Budget for Homeless
Contributed by: Julia Keenan on 7/28/2008

Volunteers Who Make A Difference

The Homeless Family Center, Inc. (HFC) would like to thank our volunteers who came in and prepared a mass mailing for our summer appeal. As non-profits reduce budgets to meet operational expenses, volunteers become even more essential. Special thanks go to: Joe and Ann Bannan, Barbara Bornheimer, Mary Coyle, Carol Durrand, Gloria Durant, Mary Gendron, Joe Mutolo, Lorie Rau, Betty Struse and Deiter Ahnert.

At HFC, volunteers provide clerical, childcare, maintenance, educational support for parents and children and plan fund-raising events. If you are interested in volunteering at the HFC contact Marie Lumenti at 772 567-5537. The Homeless Family Center is the only emergency and transitional shelter for homeless families along the Treasure Coast including Okeechobee County.
