Savory sauces, melted cheeses and the aroma of fresh basil can all be used to describe my experience at Vincent's Ristorante and Pizzeria in Vero Beach.
Ordering one of their specialties, pepperoni pizza, I was looking forward to piping hot Italian fare and I was not disappointed. Anyone can tell you that atmosphere as well as the cuisine is key to an enjoyable dining experience. Vincent's had all of that: painted murals depicting beach scenes, clean seating and a smiling waitress to boot.
I ordered my pizza with the traditional pepperoni but Vincent's offers the following toppings to tantalize: extra cheese, mushrooms, peppers, onions, black olives, fresh garlic, fresh tomatoes, spinach, pineapple, ground beef, sausage, canadian bacon, ham and achovies.
A slice went for $1.75 with additional toppings an extra 40 cents. For lunch, the restaurant also offers subs from the oven (chicken parmigiano for $5.95; eggplant with mozzarella for $5.50; sausage or meatballs for $4.95; steak vinaigrette for $5.45; and the Old Timer with peppers, onions and eggs for $4.95), pasta dishes including penne alla Vodka ($7.95); bowtie primavera ($7.45); spaghetti with clam in white or red sauce ($7.95); manicotti florentino ($7.45); eggplant parmigiano ($7.95), cheese ravioli in a pink tomato sauce with a touch of Pesto ($7.50) and angel hair pomodoro ($7.45), to name just a few.
If you want to go for dinner, expect to pay between $1.50 and $9.95 for appetizers and salad; $8.75 to $12.45 for a pasta dinner; and between $13.75 to $16.75 for a meat entrée. The restaurant also boasts seafood fare of salmon, dolphin and shrimp for up to $16.75 per person.
All in all, Vincent's was a treat and I'm sure to return with my loggerhead friends soon.
