Bono's Barbeque & Grill offers Southern delights

As a good southern Loggerhead, LogOn ventured to Bono's Barbeque & Grill on U.S. 1 in Vero Beach to try some shredded beef and chicken with his companion.

Located conveniently along U.S. 1, Bono's Barbeque & Grill, is always packed with people lunching on baby back ribs, shredded beef sandwiches and chicken wings so when my companion asked where we should go for lunch, I said we needed to head out early.

After ordering our meals, it was readily apparent why they do a good business. My luncheon partner ordered a combination lunch packed with shredded beef, chicken, french fries and baked beans for $6.99 while I tried the black and blue cheese burger with fries for $7.99.

My companion was pleased with the amount of food he received and especially enjoyed the barbeque chicken.

I had never tried a blue cheese burger but I was curious. Served with blue cheese crumbles on top, it was worth the try and the price couldn't be beat.

Other menu options include pork sandwiches for $5.69; baby back ribs, half for $9.99 and a full rack for $16.99; sirloin steak for $14.99; steak and shrimp for $15.99; grilled chicken sandwich for $6.59; and chicken wing dinners for $6.79 - to name but a few.
