Sirs,
I oppose the House resolution related to the troop surge in Iraq. As a Viet Nam War vet I want more door to door searches and no prisoners taken. The US citizentry has forgotten how vicious a foe we are dealing with. John Murtha, Hillary Clinton, Edward "Ted" Kennedy, John Kerry, and the rest of their ilk should take caution in their tone and rhetoric, stay out of things they know nothing about, and let the troops take care of "war-enforcement".
Term limitations should be the order of the day so these dullards who call themselves politicians can't continue to carve up the country and take We, the people into oblivion. Congress limited the presidential term of office and We, the People should limit congressional representatives to the same eight years. This will allow the flow of "new blood" into the system. Since the government is of the People, for the People, and by the People, We should demand term limitations by circulating and signing petitions stating that fact. It's time We, the People got off our backsides and start exercising our constitutional rights to govern the nation since the current congressional leaders obviously can't or won't agree on how to do it.
Sincerely,
John Kirgan
A concerned citizen
