2 nd Annual Bernard Egan Memorial Golf Classic
The 2 nd Annual Bernard Egan Memorial Golf Classic will be held Monday, May 14 th at
Bent Pine Golf Club, 6001 Clubhouse Dr. with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. benefiting the Samaritan Center. The tournament is open to the first 32 foursomes which sign up. The entry fee is $200.00 per person and includes golf, a pre-start continental breakfast, luncheon and an awards ceremony with prizes and special gifts. Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams and one lucky hole-in-one winner could drive away in a new 2007 Toyota, courtesy of Toyota of Vero. "Phantom" players are also welcome.
Bernard Egan, for whom the tournament is named, was a pioneer of the Florida Citrus industry and a recipient of the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame award. He and his wife Betty gave more to the community than just citrus; they were founding members of the Samaritan Center, a shelter that provides housing, hope and education to homeless families in Indian River County. Please come out and support this great cause. The Bernard Egan Memorial Golf Tournament pays tribute to a man whose noble efforts left the world a better place.
