Fireworks, Hooowl in Holman and Child Safety Night Highlight the Week!

VERO BEACH, Fla. - Dogs, fireworks and child safety are the name of the Vero Beach Devil Rays upcoming weekend of games at Holman Stadium! The Rays exciting line-up of family fun nights kicks off Thursday, June 5 with Awful Night, continues Friday, June 6 with Child Safety Night and fireworks, and fans are invited to bring man's best friend to the ballpark on Saturday, June 7 for the Hooowl in Holman!

As with every home game at Holman, early attendees to the park can take advantage of Happy Hour, and enjoy $1 small draft beers from the time the gates open until the first pitch! Thursday, June 5 is Thirsty Thursday, and fans in attendance can enjoy $1 small beers all game long! June 5 is Awful Night, which will feature awful staff costumes, an awful raffle, awful concessions and awful fireworks following the 7 p.m. game against the Sarasota Reds.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Vero Beach Devil Rays, and other community organizations will observe National Missing Children's Day by promoting prevention education through a Take 25 event at Holman Stadium on Friday, June 6. Throughout the night of June 6, the Indian River County Sheriff's Office will be offering its services by taking children's fingerprints for parents to keep on record. A visit from McGruff the Crime Dog is in store for kids in attendance, as well as a free ID kit courtesy of the Take 25 campaign. Following the game the Devil Rays will have a fireworks extravaganza to cap off the evening of family fun!

On Saturday, June 7 fans are invited to bring their dog to the ballpark for the Hooowl in Holman! The evening will feature a doggie swimsuit contest, a best trick contest, and a dog parade! Local area pet business owners will be on hand to share information and participate in the fun as well.

Community outreach is a priority for the Vero Beach Devil Rays, and the organization appreciates all efforts to partner with it to make the Vero Beach community a better place to live and work. The Vero Beach Devil Rays are a minor league baseball club owned and operated by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and affiliated with the Tampa Bay Rays.
