Baseball Camp, Revolutionary War Night and Frosty Mug Giveaway Highlight Week Ahead

VERO BEACH, Fla. - Spots are still available for the Vero Beach Devil Rays youth baseball camp Wednesday, July 23 through Friday, July 25 at Holman Stadium in Dodgertown. The three-day camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day and is open to children ages 7-14.

The camp will include instruction on the basic fundamentals of baseball such as, hitting, throwing, catching and sliding by Vero Beach Devil Rays players and coaches. Participants will receive a camp t-shirt, daily lunches and a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the camp. Sponsors for the camp include: Comcast, Subway, Burger King, Beef O'Brady's, Huntington Learning Center, abc Printing and The Talking Phone Book.

Each camp participant will also receive free admission to all three 7 p.m. Vero Beach Devil Rays games on July 23, 24 and 25, as the team takes on the Lakeland Tigers on the 23rd, and the Daytona Cubs on the 24th and 25th.

Rays to Hold Frosty Mug Giveaway at Holman Stadium
The Vero Beach Devil Rays will give away frosty freezer mugs to the first 250 people through the gates at Holman Stadium on Monday, July 21. The Rays will take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers in a 7 p.m. contest that evening.

Revolutionary War Night to Take Place at Holman Stadium
The Vero Beach Devil Rays are proud to announce the date for their much-anticipated Revolutionary War Night. On Tuesday, July 22 nd the Rays will take on the Lakeland Tigers at 7 p.m., and fans in attendance will be on the edge of their seats as Devil Rays staff members re-enact the war that made this country what it is today.

This fun-filled night will feature famous battles, including the long awaited Battle of Bunker Hill, which will take place on the berm in Holman Stadium, as George Washington leads his troops against the British Redcoats throughout the evening. Fans will witness Washington cross the Delaware, Benedict Arnold will be tried for treason and the Battle at Valley Forge will surely have everyone starving for an American victory. Many surprises and character cameos will be in store as the night unfolds, including the possible late arrival of the French.
