VERO BEACH DEVIL RAYS ANNOUNCE WINGFEST WINNERS!

Clubhouse Bar and Grill, Beef O'Brady's, and Hurricane Grill and Wings Take Home Trophies

VERO BEACH, Fla. - The Clubhouse Bar and Grill was crowned Wingfest Champion, and awarded the Golden Chicken Wing trophy on Saturday, August 9 by the Vero Beach Devil Rays and Big Brothers / Big Sister. The two organizations teamed for the second annual Wingfest, held at Holman Stadium, which featured chicken wings from eight area restaurants, and allowed attendees to vote for their favorite wings in three categories: Best Overall, Spiciest and Best Non-Traditional.

Beef O' Brady's was voted as having the Spiciest wings in town, while Hurricane Grill and Wings won the fan vote for Best Non-Traditional wings. The festival featured live music by the band "Urban Legend" and a dunk tank where fans took aim at submerging Co-General Manager Shawn Marrette and Operations Manager Brian Barlow.

"I really liked the creative chicken wing sauces Clubhouse prepared," said Wingfest taste tester Cooper Yakk, and the majority of Wingfest participants agreed, as the Clubhouse took home the Best Overall title, and the coveted Golden Chicken Wing trophy.

The Plaques and Golden Chicken Wing Trophy were created by G&B Trophies & Awards and Guru Graphics on Old Dixie. Participating restaurants included: Hurricane Grill and Wings, Beef O' Brady's, Riverside Café, Mulligan's Beach House Bar and Grill, Clubhouse Bar and Grill, Four Winds Restaurant, Chili's Grill and Bar, and Duffy's Mobil.
