Vero Beach has a new Viper soccer team to be proud of! The newly formed under 9 girls team made it to the Championship of the Melbourne Labor Day All Girls Soccer Tournament. The event, run by Challenge Sports, is the largest girls Labor Day soccer tournament in the country. The Vipers' performance is even more amazing when you consider that this tournament marks the first time that these girls have ever played together!
Not only one or two, but several of the girls on the team scored goals. Those who did not score, were invaluable on defense. This team effort enabled the Vipers to outscore their opponents 16-7 in only 4 games.
