Don't miss the fun this summer as Riverside Children's Theatre continues its 28 year tradition of providing performing opportunities and instruction to all ages. High production values, a staff of youth theatre professionals from around the country, and bargain fees that average $5.10 per hour with financial aid available to qualifying families make RCT the place to be this summer! New this year families have an option of a payment plan. Camps begin the week of June 9 and run through July 25.
New this year is a bigger and better Riverside Rascals Revue, featuring
Disney's TheAristocats, an all new Stage Acting Intensive for ages 11 to 14 and a Film Intensive for ages 13 to 17.
Rascals takes a romp through Paris then on to the countryside with the full length musical show,
Disney's The Aristocats. During the morning session, campers will work on Act 1 of the Revue that includes scenes, music and mime. Afternoon campers will put together Act 2,
The Aristocats, based on the beloved animated film. Favorite songs include "Ev'rybody Wants to be a Cat" and "Thomas O'Malley the Alley Cat." Campers can take part in morning or afternoon sessions or both. Rascals is open to ages 8 to 12. Performances are July 11 and 12.
For experienced actors who want to be challenged, RCT is offering something new, the Stage Acting Intensive. Stephen Wuycheck is instructor and he promises participants will work harder and achieve more than they ever have. Take your potential to the next level!
Also new is the Film Intensive that brings to RCT Kelly Dennehy, veteran film and stage actress from south Florida, who will coach on camera acting techniques as well as assist participants in making connections for film auditions.
Old favorites return as well with the Performing Arts Day Camp for ages 5 to 7 that will now include music in addition to drama, movement and stagecraft, the Theatre Arts Workshop, Video Camp and Summer Dance.
