Art in the Park only a Sunday stroll away
Contributed by: Debbie Batteiger, YourHub.com on 12/5/2005

On a breezy Sunday, one local artist happily displays her canvas paintings to passersby. But this is no chance meeting: Barbara Landry is one of approximately 40 Vero Beach Art Club members who take part in Art in the Park once a month.

Art in the Park is held monthly in Humiston Park as part of the Vero Beach Art Club's exhibits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and entrance to the event is free.

Onlookers can be seen admiring a variety of works including oils and acrylics on canvas, collages, jewelry, sculpture and photography, among others. All works are for sale and housed under colorful tents. Artists are on hand to answer questions about the various pieces.

Landry said this is only the second show of the season, and shows are planned through April.

"I've been doing this for several years and I love it," she said.

The show is free and open to the public. For more information on Art in the Park or other Vero Beach Art Club sponsored shows, please go to http://www.verobeachartclub.org/.
