One day I woke up and said to myself, "I am so grateful for the job I have and the wonderful clients that I attend to". It is also a blessing to have the great staff I have.
I remember a situation where we had a bridal party who were visiting from California. They were scheduled for hair appointments but they still needed to pick up the Brides garter. Because they were not familiar with the Vero Beach area, I offered to have them follow me from the Mall to the bridal shop across town.We got to the bridal shop on Old Dixie and I showed them the way into the store.
When I saw the Brides face light up in joy, I felt so happy inside that I could help someone complete their special day. The girls thanked me and came back to the salon to have their hair done.
I have noticed that sometimes in our lives we get so busy that we forget to stop and really think about why we are here on this earth.
Work is work. But to really enjoy your job is another thing. Making people happy and seeing my staff happy is the most important thing to me.
When I go home at night, I know we did our best to make a beautiful day for someone else.
And this is why Iove what I do.
