Free Source Magazine for Treasure Coast Residents and Visitors

Treasure Coast Parenting Magazine. Inc.(TCP) ,a Florida based corporation, has announced it will be publishing a free monthly magazine for distribution to persons and families within the Treasure Coast, a geographic area which includes Martin, Indian River, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Southern Brevard counties. The magazine will be called Treasure Coast Parenting. Treasure Coast Parenting will be a source publication for families who seek information on places to go and things to do in the Treasure Coast. Among other things, the magazine will include a comprehensive, up-to-date listing of source information for "kid" related events, activities, medical services, places to visit, schools, classes and programs.

The President and CEO of Treasure Coast Parenting Magazine, Inc. is Kara Ferraro. She is a Treasure Coast resident, a mother of two, and a former owner of a retail business in Philadelphia. Shortly after moving to the Treasure Coast over 4 years ago, Kara recognized the desperate need for a parenting publication which would serve as a single source of information for activities and information for young persons living in and visiting the Treasure Coast.

According to Kara, "There is information void in the Treasure Coast that begs to be filled. We expect substantial demand for the magazine. Most parents of younger children constantly are searching for services and activities for their children. TCP will provide a one stop shop for our readers. Each monthly magazine will include information relating to local schools, libraries, family fun activities, fairs, festivals. places to visit, preschools, party ideas, summer camps and medical services."

In addition to source information, Treasure Coast Parenting will include articles and comments on parent-child related issues written by local professionals, educators, business personalities, writers and authors. The monthly publication will be distributed free and will be available at hundreds of convenient distribution points located within the Treasure Coast including Blockbuster Video Stores and Albertsons. The first monthly publication is scheduled for publication in September, 2009.

In addition to Treasure Coast Parenting's monthly magazine, twice a year TCP will publish semi-annual directories called the Ultimate Family Resource Guide. Kara states, "Our goal is to become the ultimate resource tool for parents, grandparents, and caregivers who have children or young persons living in or visiting the Treasure Coast. "

TCP soon will be partnering with CVS Pharmacy in sponsoring a Kids Cover Photo Contest to select photos to appear on monthly covers or elsewhere within TCP's publications. Details of this contest will be announced shortly.
