On Friday, May 23rd, the Coggin Acura and Coggin BMW locations in Fort Pierce celebrated meeting their United Way campaign goal with a country western luncheon and some interesting entertainment: the managers kissed a pig to kick start the luncheon.
Coggin Automotive Group gave their employees a very motivating incentive to contribute to their United Way campaign this year: all locations that were able to raise an average of $75 per employee would get a reward lunch, be allowed to dress down in jeans for a day, and the managers of the location would have to kiss a pig. The Coggin Acura and Coggin BMW locations in Fort Pierce are 2 of the 4 locations that were able to reach this milestone campaign goal.
"It's this kind of creativity that really makes their workplace campaign grow each year", stated Judith Cruz, Vice President of Resource Development for United Way of St. Lucie County.
Festivities took place at 11:00am on May 23 rd at the Coggin Acura location at 5400 S. U.S. Highway 1 with Acura General Sales Manager Matt McNeal kissing the pig. It then moved on to the Coggin BMW location at 4429 S. U.S. Highway 1 where general manager Todd Seth kissing the pig.
Coggin raised a total of $13,200 during this year's campaign for the United Way of St. Lucie County and was awarded the Commerce Division Award at United Way's Annual Meeting and Community Celebration held this past March. Coggin/Courtesy Automotive Group operates 26 dealerships in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Orlando, Kissimmee, Deland, Tampa, and Fort Pierce and raised a total of $353,000 for United Way throughout the state.
