Fathers successfully completing the first Nurturing Father's Class, presented by the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County's (ELCSLC) Father & Child Program, were recently honored at a graduation ceremony.
Graduates, family and friends enjoyed a celebration dinner hosted by the ELCSLC. The men wrote commitment letters to their families titled "The Father I Choose To Be."
The next session of this FREE program begins Tuesday, April 29. It will be held Tuesdays from 7 pm to 9 pm in the multi-purpose room at the Early Learning Coalition, 804 S. 6th St., Ft. Pierce. The office is between Sunrise Boulevard and Georgia Avenue on the South side of the building.
This FREE 13-week volunteer program is designed to help fathers and male role models build closer relationships with their families; communicate positively; balance work and family better; manage stress; and discipline with love. This program is funded through the Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County and administered by the ELCSLC. Fathers and male role models interested in attending or to request more information should contact Kathy Bauer at 772-595-6424 x 123 or email her at bauerk01@elcslc.org.
The Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County is a non-profit organization which offers the School Readiness and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten programs. These programs provide high-quality early childhood education in order to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. For information about the Coalition's programs, please call 772-595-6424 or visit www.elcslc.org.
Sponsorship by the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County, Agency for Workforce Innovation, Office of Early Learning.
