The Perry Institute for Marine Science (PIMS) is pleased to announce the return of our Lee Stocking Island webcams. The footage from these cameras will offer a unique opportunity for students, teachers, and institutions to bridge the gap between research and education by bringing the marine environment to these students in their classrooms and to the local community in a public forum.

PIMS has two webcams in place at the John H. Perry Caribbean Research Center on Lee Stocking Island in Exuma, Bahamas. The underwater reef cam will allow viewers to catch a glimpse of the marine life at LSI while the dock cam will be available for viewing current weather conditions on the island. The underwater live video feed will feature a living coral reef, exhibiting the behaviors and ecological interactions of the organisms in their natural environment. This web feed may be used to teach about the importance of a healthy environment, fisheries management, coral reef health, and global climate change. The live feeds will be integrated into the traveling kiosk, Sea Creatures Live! Please check the website for more info on the location of the kiosk.
